Why is the pump noise larger when conveying gear oil?

 
Some customers for the first time to use gear oil pump to transport gear oil, without determining their own gear oil viscosity and oil type on the order of equipment, the result in the use of noise, and the throughput is not enough, this is caused by high oil viscosity, need to contact technical personnel selection, determine the model. This is important. But that's not the only thing. Here are a few possible causes of noise:
First: gear pump pump parts damage or wear will produce vibration and noise: such as tooth shape error or pitch error, two gear contact bad, high tooth surface roughness, common normal length out of tolerance, tooth backlash is too small, the contact area of two meshing gear is not in the position of the dividing circle.
Second: YCB gear pump gear axial assembly clearance is too small; The sliding joint surface between the end face of the gear and the front and back end cover is not carefully removed because of the burr of the gear before assembly, so that the joint surface is strained during operation, so that the internal leakage is large, leading to the reduction of output flow; Dirt into the pump and wedged into the gap between the end face of the gear and the front and back end cover of the tension mating surface, resulting in high and low pressure cavity due to radial tension groove connected, so that the output flow reduced.
Third: because of the dirt in the oil into the gear pump pump lead to wear and tear of gear and other parts and produce noise.
Fourth: the gear oil pump and coupling connection due to the requirements of the vibration and noise. At this point, the gear can be replaced or the gear grinding. The oil should be replaced, the filtration should be strengthened, and the pump should be dismantled for cleaning; The gear with serious wear and tear must be repaired or replaced. The following measures shall be taken to repair the above conditions. Disassemble gear oil pump, appropriately increase the axial clearance that is grinding gear end face; Use a surface grinder to grind the end face of the front and rear cover and the end face of the gear, and remove the burr on the gear teeth (can not be chamfered); After plane grinding, the depth dimension of the unloading groove on the end surface of the front and back end cover will change, and the width should be appropriately increased. At the same time, the damage of the needle holder of the bearing, the journal of long and short shafts and the wear of the needle can lead to poor bearing rotation and mechanical noise. At this time, it is necessary to repair the gear pump and replace the needle bearing. The coupling should be adjusted as required.
