The type of pump should be reasonably selected according to the process parameters of the device, the physical and chemical properties of the conveying medium, the operation cycle and the structural characteristics of the pump. Figure 1-2 is a block diagram of pump type selection for reference. According to the block diagram, the pump type that meets the requirements of device parameters and medium characteristics can be preliminarily determined. Centrifugal pump has the advantages of simple structure, infusion without pulsation, simple flow regulation, etc., so in addition to the following circumstances, centrifugal oil pump should be selected as far as possible.
(1) when there is a measurement requirement, choose the metering pump.
(2) Gear oil pump can be selected when the head requirement is very high, the flow is very small and there is no suitable small flow and high head centrifugal pump; If cavitation requirements are not high, vortex pump can also be used.
(3) when the head is very low and the flow is very large, the axial flow pump and mixed flow pump can be used (see the fourth section of the first chapter of the second chapter).
(4) the medium viscosity is larger (more than 650-1000mm2 /s), can consider the selection of rotor pump or reciprocating pump; When the viscosity is particularly large, a specially designed high viscosity pump can be used.
(5) the medium content >5%, the flow is small and the viscosity is less than 37.4 mm2/s, can choose the vortex pump. If the flow is allowed to pulsate, the reciprocating pump can be selected.
(6) to start frequently or inconvenient irrigation pump occasions, should be selected with self-priming performance of the pump, such as self-priming centrifugal pump, self-priming vortex pump, positive displacement pump, etc
