The oil pump
The primary problem of oil pumps used as process pumps for conveying oil in refinery and petrochemical installations is performance degradation caused by liquid viscosity.
Therefore, the most used is not easy to cause performance decline due to viscosity, simple structure of the centrifugal pump. But when the dry degree is higher, because of centrifugal pump delivery difficulties, to use screw pump, gear pump and other kinds of rotor pump. In addition, as a high pressure delivery pump, the plunger pump can be used, for high pressure special purposes, the use of variable pump. More recently, vortex pumps, previously widely used as household well pumps, have been used as special flow pumps with very small flows.
The second problem of this pump is the transportation of high temperature and low temperature liquid. In this regard, we should not only carefully choose materials, but also fully consider the impact of temperature on the structure.
The paper pulp pump
In paper mills and pulp mills, as raw material pulp fiber, almost all water transportation, so the use of the pulp pump has a special importance. This pulp pump, most of the previous use of plunger pump, now most of the centrifugal pump replaced.
The flow of pulp fibers is similar to that of Bingham liquid or pseudoplastic liquid, but the flow state is quite complicated because the solid particles are fibrous and cause significant swelling when mixed with water. As a pulp pump, when the conveying weight of the mixture is less than 1%, the general high temperature oil pump can be used, but when this attempt is exceeded, the so-called pulp centrifugal pump with non-clogging impeller should be used. However, the centrifugal pump pumping attempt is about 7-8%, more than this attempt, should use a special type of gear pump.
