As a turbine management personnel, in order to use and manage all kinds of pumps well, we should understand the structure, working principle and characteristics of all kinds of pumps, according to the requirements of the work, select the right pump, and manage it well, so that the pump can work normally and obtain the best efficiency, to avoid energy and economic waste. In order to use and manage the oil pump well, the managers should pay attention to the following points:
(1) Before starting, all kinds of valves on the suction and discharge lines should be completely opened;
(2) and the newly installed or overhauled pump, should pay attention to the direction of rotation, because in addition to the reversible pump, it has only one direction of rotation, if the pump turns to the opposite, the pump suction, oil discharge direction will change. For the reversible inner oil pump or rotor pump with crescent partition, the position of the semicircular groove of the limit pin on the end cover should be checked during installation. If the direction of the groove changes, the suction and discharge direction of the pump will also change.
(3) Although the oil pump has dry suction capacity, the pump must be filled with oil before starting, especially the first starting after maintenance. This is because the pump speed is very high, if the pump is put into work without oil, even if the pump can suck up the oil in a very short time, but the dry friction of the moving parts before the oil suction, will make the working surface of the pump moving parts produce quite serious wear, so that the life of the pump is greatly shortened;
(4) The pump can not work under the rated working pressure. Otherwise, the leakage of the pump increases, the volume efficiency is reduced, the prime mover is overloaded, the radial imbalance force of the pump is increased, and the wear is intensified. When the strength is insufficient and the deformation is serious, the blockage will occur, causing damage to some parts and causing accidents;
On the operation of the pump, we should pay attention to the change of suction and discharge pressure, oil, pump rest and prime mover (motor) temperature change, abnormal noise, whether the shaft seal is overheating. If the shaft seal is sealed by packing, it should not be "a drop does not leak", and a small amount of oil leakage should be allowed through the shaft seal to ensure that the shaft seal can get good lubrication and cooling, increase the life of the seal and improve the mechanical efficiency.
(5) Inhalation pressure should not be too low. Pressure is too low, dissolved in a large number of air escape in the oil, so that the displacement is reduced, and when the suction pressure is lower than the saturated evaporation pressure of the oil, the oil will produce gasification, produce "cavitation phenomenon", resulting in "liquid strike", noise and abnormal vibration, discharge pressure is unstable, and even the pump can not normally supply oil; In order to avoid too low suction pressure, as far as possible, use thick and short suction line with few accessories and elbow, suction filter should be cleaned frequently. Suction height should be as low as possible, and positive suction height should be used if necessary (the oil tank level is higher than the suction inlet of the pump).
(6) Air inhalation should be prevented. Air into the system, not only will reduce the displacement of the pump, produce uneven oil supply, pressure fluctuation and affect the work, and the inhalation of air, is the main cause of abnormal noise.
In order to prevent air from entering the pump, in addition to the inhalation pipeline to ensure airtight, bolts at the joints and good shaft sealing. Suction mouth too close to cannot leave the tank liquid level, in order to avoid the vortex which was formed in the suction mouth into the air, when the fuel tank inside the return pipe, tubing and suction mouth not too close, with a baffle between the two best, best return pipe can also be immersed in the oil, to avoid oil splash or impact liquid level, oil mixing into bubble, make the air mixed with oil.
